JOCKO

Jocko is a siamese mix, approximately 10 years old. He was picked up as a stray in September by Sandi at Griffith Animal Control. He weighed in at a little over 3 pounds, was dehydrated, and had a severe upper respiratory infection. He visited the vet, where a bot fly lavae was removed from his nose. After talking to neighbors, it appeared that he had been living on scraps of food wherever he could find them. Today he shares a home with 5 other cats, and weighs about 8 pounds. He has bonded with one of the other kitties in the house who he loves to groom and sleep with. His favorite place is in the middle of the bed. He is also fond of sitting on the keyboard of his person's laptop computer where it is warm! - Elizabeth Canty

MAX

Max came to us from Griffith Animal Control when his owner did not come to pick him up. He was there for over a month. He is 10 years old, and he is starting to have problems with his hips. His story was put on Petfinder, and some wonderful people responded to his plea.   Elizabeth Canty Max came to us from Griffith Animal Control when his owner did not come to pick him up.  Jody & Koda

We sometimes get letters from the people who adopt animals from us. We woluld like to share this one with you.

Our family welcomed Jody and Koda on Sunday, December 9, 2007.  While on Petfinder.com I saw a picture of Koda, and I had to have him!  My three girls and I headed out to PetSmart in Highland hoping to find him and/or any other cat that was willing to have us, and we did.  Jody’s picture wasn’t on the site.  She called out to us with her big beautiful eyes, and we couldn’t resist.  We never changed their names because we liked what had already been chosen for them…they seemed to fit perfectly.   They have brought so much joy and laughter to our home, and we love them dearly.  Thank you all for caring for them and so many other animals, and for trusting us to do the same!
